The Judgement

Creating the world of the Judgement was a real design challenge. We built and dressed a single interior set to serve as both Georg’s Room and The Father’s Room, allowing the space itself to evolve with the story. The walls were plastered and painted by hand to introduce texture and imperfection, while the floor was dyed to give it a worn, aged character. Subtle alterations transformed the room between scenes: an additional window, tighter furniture placement, and heavier dressing were used to make the father’s room feel more enclosed and oppressive, in contrast to Georg’s more open space.
